We are very proud to annouce that thesackrace.com has been shortlisted for an award in the 2013 Football Blogging Awards. We are up against some of the biggest names in the business for the Best Football Gambling Blog, also in our category are the likes of Paddy Power and Betfair!

The awards, which are in their sophmore year, will be taking place at the National Football Museum in Manchester on 21st November 2013 and will be hosted by FHM High Street Honey winner (and football fan) Natalie Pike.

Sackrace Editor Jack Kitson (@Jack_Kitson) said "Being nominated for this award is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of all the hard work of everyone here at The Sack Race. We are thrilled to be up for the gong and look forward to the ceremony in November."

As well as producing news articles on current managers in trouble and which manager is moving where the sackrace is also known for producing articles such as the cost of season tickets and also looked into what impact there is on a team's fortunes when changing managers.

The awards are the brainchild of friends Anthony and Richard who thought it was about time that bloggers were recognised for the work they put in. All profits raised from the event will be donated to donated to FURD 'Football Unites, Racism Divides' which is an anti-racist project that useds the power of football to educate society about the dangers of racism.

Voting for a blog is done 100% by public votes only which will close on the 17th November.
