Paul Hart To Be New Crystal Palace Manager
Less than 24 hours after Neil Warnock left Crystal Palace for QPR the Selhurst Park club have appointed Paul Hart as his successor, Hart will be appointed on a temporary contract until the end of the season and will be charged with keeping the debt ridden team in the Championship. It will be his third club of the season after starting the campaign with Porstmouth before having a short-term spell at QPR, he will now take charge of Palace which is expected to bring a mixed response from the fans of the club. As everyone knows the club are in administration which has seen them docked ten points, they went from a mid-table side to a team deep in a dog-fight over night and they are eager to remain in the Championship.
Hart had an unsuccessful five-game spell at Loftus Road over Christmas and the new year and now he and Neil Warnock have swapped jobs, all eyes will be on the two Managers when the teams meet on the 10th April in a relegation six pointer. It is understood that Hart had a falling out with former QPR owner Flavio Briatore which was the reason for his quick exit from Loftus Road, that could well be a worry for Palace fans who are looking for some stability on the pitch. Hart though will just be concentrating on Palace as the club look to survive both on and off the pitch, he has inherited a squad that should have enough to remain the Championship but morale is sure to be low at the club leaving Paul Hart with a tough task on his hands.
Palace fans have been through a turbulent season with former Chairman Simon Jordan unable to keep the club out of administration, they had a good Cup run before going out to Villa and they are now left to fight a relegation battle. If Paul Hart can keep the club up then he is likely to earn himself a longer term deal at the club, Hart has had mixed success at a Manager and may well see Selhurst Park as the ideal venue to rebuild his reputation.
