Avram Grant Heads Betting To Become Next Portsmouth Manager

0

The Bookies are running for cover as Avram Grant has shot to the head of the Next Portsmouth Manager Betting with all the bookmakers. Seemingly the only thing that is stopping him at present is something to do with a work permit, but we’re not sure what that is all about as surely he must have the required working visas to be able to perform his role as Director of Football.

Harry Redknapp has stuck his nose into the equation by suggesting that Portsmouth should give Avram a more hands on role, and he also thinks that they will avoid the drop. Former Owner Milan Mandaric also believes that Avram is the man for the job.

Avram has an excellent record in the Premier League but that was with Chelsea when they had a quality team, something that Portsmouth need to improve having sold most of the quality players that Redknapp brought to Fratton Park.

It does look like Avram will get the job, but things change very quickly when it comes to news on mangers!

Victor Chandler spokesman Darren Gartland commented “Avram would look like the obvious appointment, but we have heard rumours for weeks that Darren Ferguson was ready to step into a Premier League manager’s role. We certainly hope it is Darren Ferguson as he was backed from 6/1 into 4/9 to be the next Hull City manager.”
