Garry Monk is the manager of Middlesbroughafter signing a contract with the club in June 2017 following his departure from Leeds.
Monk was previously seventh head coach to work under the club's controversial owner Massimo Cellino at Leeds. But after the new owners took control of Elland Road, Monk decided to resign rather than extend his contract with new chairman Andrea Radrizzani.
It's a real honour to be here. The club's ambition is to return to the Premier League. That matches my ambition.
I will be gaffer from next season. The players will probably call me other things behind my back.
