James Beattie is a young football manager who has just one stint to his name with Accrington Stanley (2013-2014), although he's yet to return to the dugout, despite being since being linked with a whole host of clubs.
The former England international bagged the job in May 2013, and despite financial restrictions he managed to keep the club in League Two, finishing 15th. However, shortly into his second season he departed the club by mutual consent.
At 3pm before the friendly against Everton I cleaned the toilets,' said Beattie, who is living with his mother while his family remains in Dorset.
'It's like serving an apprenticeship and I donât mind it. I donât enjoy cleaning toilets but if itâs right for when the lads come in and everything is correct. I donât mind doing any job.'
âThe lads have been taking bets on me going grey within six months. The pressure I put on myself will be more than anyone else. Hopefully the players pull their fingers out and I can stay brunette for a few more weeks - but Iâve had a few come through already on my beard, so I'll have to shave that off.'
