Manager Profile

Having had his playing career cut short by injury, John Still automatically turned to management and has been a stalwart of the Non League scene managing a plethora of semi-professional teams during his career.

A manager at Redbridge Forest, Still then took over the reins when Dagenham & Redbridge were formed, but then left to boss Peterborough United. However, it was his return to Victoria Road in 2004 that saw him sparkle as a manager.

Promotion from the Conference in 2006-2007 saw the Daggers venture into the Football League and three years later he bagged promotion up to League One as they went through the play-offs to play at their highest ever standard.

Still left for Luton Town in February 2013, but soon returned to Dagenham for a third spell after he was sacked in December 2015

John Still Quotes

If you are a bigger club you shop at Harrods, smaller clubs shop at Tesco's. But you have to love the job, and I do.

The Sack Race's Opinion

Still has done tremendous work over his three spells at Dagenham and Redbridge, with the club forever grateful to Still for lifting them to the heights of League football.

Although relegation from League Two seems a certainty, it would be of no surprise if Still manages once more to get them promoted next year.
