Regarded as one of the elite club managers in world football, Jurgen Klopp is now trying to bring the glory days back to Liverpool, and if the German manager can emulate his heroics from a stellar time at Borussia Dortmund, then the Merseyside outfit are destined for greatness again.
Klopp was a mainstay of the Mainz 05 squad as a player, and then became manager at the German club for seven years, but it was his inspirational time at Dortmund that launched him into the limelight and back-to-back Bundesliga titles in 2010/11 and 2011/12 saw him snatch the title of 'top dog' off Bayern Munich in a sparkling seven years at the club.
Klopp joined Liverpool in October 2015, and has quickly rallied the Anfield faithful, and whie time will tell whether he can bag a maiden Premier League crown with the Reds, he has certainly revitalised the city.
