Manager Profile

Often seen in an assistant or caretaker managerial role, Kevin Keen was finally handed a full-time position at the helm in late December, 2015, as he took over at League One side, Colchester United.

A three-times caretaker manager at West Ham United, Keen has also worked as a coach at Liverpool, while assisting Steve Clarke as an assistant manager at West Bromwich Albion, but this break at Colchester has allowed him to try and show his potential as an outright manager.

With over 500 appearances as a player, Keen will be hoping that he can utilise his experience in the game, and try and build on Colchester's current league position.

Kevin Keen Quotes

The club, chairman and the philosophy is very much aligned to the way I think about how football clubs should be run.

The Sack Race's Opinion

Having worked in the background for a long time, Keen has now been handed a golden opportunity at Colchester United to show that he can also shine as a manager, so he could be a man to watch over the next couple of seasons.
