Martin Jol is the manager of Fulham, with whom he joined in June 2011 following the surprise departure of Mark Hughes. Jol has previous Premier League experience having managed Tottenham for just over three years. The Dutchman enjoyed an impressive first season with Fulham after guiding them to a 9th-place finish.
After some small success at amateur level Jol then spent two years as manager of Dutch side Roda JC, where he won the club their first trophy for 30 years - the Dutch Cup. He then joined RKC Waalwijk in 1998 and spent six years at the club.
In November 2004 Jol replaced Jacques Santini as manager of Tottenham Hotspur. At the end of the 2005/06 Jol led Spurs to 5th in the league and qualification to the UEFA Cup, a feat they repeated the following year. Tottenham sacked Jol in October 2007 after it was revealed by the media that they met up with Juande Ramos.
Jol joined Bundesliga club Hamburger SV in 2008 and led them to the Europa League semi-finals. He then joined Ajax in May 2009 and won the Dutch Cup in his first season and just missed out on the league title, finishing second behind Steve McClaren's FC Twente by just one point.
In June 2011 he signed a two-year contract with Fulham.
Martin Jol's job is 100% safe after leading Fulham to a 9th-place finish in his first season in charge. He will look to add to his squad during the summer as well as holding on to start player Clint Dempsey.
