Solskjaer had a very successful career with Man Utd and will forever be known for scoring the winner in the Champions League final against Bayern Munich.
Solskjaer originally emerged as the hot favourite in the Next Aston Villa Manager Betting but withdrew his interest in the vacancy following talks with the club.
Solskjær worked as a coach for Manchester United before taking over the reserve team, winning the Lancashire Senior Cup in 2008.
In November 2010 Solskjær was appointed manager of former club Molde FK where he signed a four-year contract. At the end of his first season in charge he won the club the Norwegian Premier League.
