Manager Profile

Paul Tisdale is often cited as one of the most stylish managers in football thanks to his dapper hats and cravats, but he's also shown that he has substance, racking up four promotions with Bath City before joining Exeter in 2006.

Tisdale is the longest serving manager in the Football League, with over 500 games at the helm of Exeter, where he won successive promotions to League One, albeit a subsequent relegation was a slight blemish on his CV.

Paul Tisdale Quotes

I'm an oddity. With what I wear, how I speak, with the choices I've made. I'm an oddity in how I view my players. I really don't mind the perception. It actually gives me an edge.

They might be four inches taller than you, but you'll stand alongside them and know the manager's got his cravat on.

I'll go out early and be stood in that technical area, with my silk scarf, feeling the b******s. When you walk out, you'll look at me, and know if I feel it, then you'll feel the nuts too.

The Sack Race's Opinion

A classy dresser, Paul Tisdale has shown a huge amount of loyalty to Exeter and the club have kept faith in return by keeping him at the helm despite relegation.
