Steve Lomas has been confirmed as the new manager of Championship side Millwall. The former Hammers player has decided to leave SPL outfit in order to succeed Kenny Jackett at the New Den. Last season he led the Saints to an impressive 3rd-place finish, along with Europa League qualification.
Lomas is a former Northern Ireland, West Ham and Man City midfielder whose playing career spanned over 20 years.
On retiring from playing the game the Ulsterman worked as a coach at Norwich City before experincing his first managerial job at non-league side St Neots Town, and then most recently working as reserve team manager at former club West Ham.
In November 2011 Lomas signed a two-and-a-half year deal to manage St Johnstone. He guided them to a 6th place finished at the end of the campaign, which was bettered the following season with a 3rd place standing and Europa League qualification.
In June 2013 Lomas agreed to become the new manager of Championship side Millwall.
