Thomas Tuchel had huge shoes (literally) to fill when he took over from Jurgen Klopp at Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2015. The German boss has so far excelled in the dugout, bouncing back from last season's underachievement in superb style.
Under Tuchel Dortmund employ a more possession-based style of play, while focusing on both youth and experience, and he looks set to be with the BvB for some time.
Like Klopp, Tuchel previously managed Mainz, with whom he led to 5th in the Bundesliga in 2010/11, and then into the Europa League in 2013/14.
We have to create an atmosphere, brimming with willingness to compete, supportive and devoid of egotism. This has to be felt during out training sessions, and in every minute we play. It's my responsibility to create this atmosphere.
I prefer certain qualities, an active playing style, bold defending and pacy play in attack.
