Manager Profile

Veteran Spain manager Vicente del Bosque has enjoyed a stonking career in the dugout, winning a number of trophies, both at club and international level.

Del Bosque is famed for being in charge of one of the greatest international teams of all time, Spain, with whom he led to their first ever World Cup trophy (2010), while he backed up that achievement at the European Championships two years later.

Bosque previously won a brace of La Liga titles and Championship League trophies with Real Madrid, while he was voted the FIFA Coach of the Year in 2012.

Vicente del Bosque Quotes

A leader is admired, a boss is feared.

I didn't really want to be the coach who wins but the coach who educates.

Sometimes people say that coach is a winner, but everyone wants to win. You must know how to behave in victory and in defeat, to look after what is our sport, football.

The Sack Race's Opinion

Vicente is an absolute hero in Spain, but he's stated that he'll close the curtains on his managerial career following the conclusion of Euro 2016. If the Spaniard can end on a high by leading his troops to their third straight European Championship success, then that would be some achievement.
