Premier League Manager Markets With Stan James

As we head into the second half of the season currently two Premier League managers have left their posts. On Sunday Neil Warnock became the second top flight boss to lose his job when QPR gave him the boot, and back in late November Steve Bruce was the first managerial victim when Sunderland sacked him following a disappointing start to the season. Stan James are now running an interesting betting market which provides odds on How Many Premier League Managers Will Leave Their Post This Season?

The market provides odds of 7/1 for these two dismissals to remain the only Premier League comings-and-going this season, however, this as we know is very unlikely. As the pressure begins to build club's can feel the need to make big decisions as they either scrap for relegation or fight for a place in Europe. If they feel a manager is not performing or inspiring his players then history tells us club's can act on impulse and send a manager packing. Three managers to leave is priced at 11/8, while four managers is available at 2/1. You never know there could be a flurry of second half of the season sackings making five or more managers an interesting bet at 13/5.

Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas came under-fire in the weeks before Christmas following a string of poor results. Owner, Roman Abramovich, demands trophies and at present the club is still in the hunt for the Champions League, through to the fourth round of the Carling Cup and have a slim chance of winning the Premier League. AVB is a young manager with bags of potential and will most likely be given time to prove himself at the club, however, Abramovich has a tendency to make rash decisions so you never know what is around the corner at Stamford Bridge.

Wolves (18th) and Bolton (16th) are two clubs struggling towards the bottom of the table. Their respective managers Mick McCarthy and Owen Coyle feature high up in the betting and will be desperate for a couple of positive results in the next couple of weeks. Bolton face the daunting task of Man Utd away, followed by home fixtures against Liverpool and Arsenal, while Wolves will prepare for matches against high-flying Tottenham, Aston Villa and Liverpool.
