Alex Neil's future in doubt at Norwich Cityby Jack Kitson / 11 November 2016, 10:20
Norwich City are busy drawing up a list of potential candidates to replace manager Alex Neil, according to Graeme Bailey of HITC Sport.
Norwich started the season brightly but the cracks have started to show in recent weeks, with Neil coming under-fire after the club’s failure to win any of their last five league and cup matches.
Back in mid-October the Canaries threw away a 2-0 lead at Fulham, having to settle for a point, which was followed by a defeat at home to Preston, then a loss to Leeds in the EFL Cup.
The pressure really started to mount at the end of the month after Norwich inexplicably suffered a 5-0 battering at the hands of promotion rivals Brighton, before again losing to Leeds, this team in the league.
That result saw the Norfolk outfit drop to 5th in the Championship, 10 points behind league leaders Newcastle, and seven points adrift of the automatic promotion places after 16 matches.
Rumours are now rife that Neil could be out of a job before Norwich return to the field against QPR (19th November) after the international break, with the club’s chief executive Jez Moxey reportedly compiling a list of managerial replacements as the Canaries aim to soar back into the top-2.
