Arsenal make contact with Juventus over Max Allegri

Arsenal are reportedly attempting to lure Juventus manager Max Allegri over to the Emirates after getting in touch with the Italian giants.

According to The Sun Arsenal have pinpointed Allegri (4/1 Paddy Power) as the man they want to succeed Arsene Wenger, should the Frenchman leave the club in the summer.

However, despite the ever-increasing band of supporters who want #WengerOut, there are rumours that the veteran gaffer is set to put pen-to-paper and sign a new two-year deal.

We can't wait to see the reaction should this occur.

Over in Turin Allegri is gunning for the treble.

The Italian has a Coppa Italia final against Lazio to look forward to, is on the verge of hoisting his third consecutive Serie A title, while he's currently lapping up the praise following Juventus' 3-0 demolition of Barcelona.

The Old Lady completely outclassed the Catalan club in the Champions League quarter-final first-leg, and in truth it could, and should, have been more.

However, despite the comprehensive victory, Allegri knows there's no room for complacency, as PSG found out last month.

Should Allegri decide that he fancies a new challenge in the summer, then there will undoubtedly be a scramble for his signature.

The 49-year-old could well become the latest "Super Gaffer" to join the Premier League, while there is also a job up for grabs at Barcelona, and he can be backed at a tasty 18/1...
