Andre Villas-Boas Latest To Be Linked With Tottenham

Andre Villas-Boas has emerged as the latest contender for the Tottenham job. The former Chelsea boss has had his odds slashed overnight and he is now the odds-on favourite in the Next Tottenham Manager Betting. The original frontrunners David Moyes and Roberto Martinez remain in the running, with all three men reportedly on the club’s shortlist.

Harry Redknapp was sacked on Tuesday in a shock move which surprised many in football. Attention will now turn to his replacement with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy revealing that the North London club are going to take their time over recruiting a new manager. Compensation packages for Moyes and Martinez may put Spurs off, where as Villas-Boas wouldn’t require a fee as he is currently out of work. However, some Spurs supporters may be against the Portuguese coach becoming manager after his miserable nine month spell in charge of London rivals Chelsea.

Meanwhile Ralf Rangnick, who was recently linked with West Brom, is also attracting some attention, as is the former England manager Fabio Capello. Elsewhere assistant first-team coach Tim Sherwood and Spurs legend Jurgen Klinsmann are surprise contenders, with Rafael Benitez also believed to be interested in the vacancy.
