David Moyes tops the Premier League Sack Raceby Jack Kitson / 17 October 2016, 09:28
David Moyes is the new favourite for the sack after Sunderland's woeful winless run was extended to eight games following a dismal 2-0 defeat to fellow strugglers Stoke.
The Black Cats, who have lost six of their opening eight games, remain rooted to the foot of the Premier League table with a meagre two points to their name, with the under-fire Moyes now as slim as 5/6 with Paddy Power to be the next top-flight gaffer out the door.
Saturday's loss to the Potters, who were also winless prior to the match, means the struggling Scot has now not triumphed in a Premier League fixture since April 2014 when Man Utd beat Newcastle 4-0.
Sunderland are the only team in the top-4 tiers of English football who are yet to taste victory this season - something Moyes will be desperately trying to change when he takes his confidence-crushed troops to 15th-placed West Ham on Saurday.
Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka now finds himself as the second favourite for the chop at 5/1. The Spaniard enjoyed a bright start to the season, picking up five points from three games, however Boro have since registered only one point from their following five.
West Ham's Slaven Bilic can be backed at 7/1, whereas Tony Pulis is priced at 13/2. Meanwhile, former frontrunner Antonio Conte, who emerged as the shock favourite last week, has now moved out 11/1.
