Jens Keller a shock contender for Norwich City postby Jack Kitson / 18 May 2017, 14:07Tweet
Rumours are rife that Norwich City are set to follow in the footsteps of Huddersfield Town and appoint a German born manager, however it may be a different boss to the one many assumed would be entering Carrow Road.
Fleetwood Town gaffer Uwe Rosler has been seated at the top of the Next Norwich City Manager Market since the standard league season came to a close earlier this month.
Rosler, who has previously managed Wigan, Brentford and Leeds, remains the favourite at the top of the Canaries betting, but for how much longer?
This afternoon (Thursday) Jens Keller has steamrolled into the mix at 11/2, having previously been out in the wilderness at 40/1 earlier in the week.
Who? You may ask.
Keller is the current of manager of Bundesliga 2 side Union Berlin, a job he has held since July, while he's previously had spells in charge of Schalke 04 and VfB Stuttgart.
It was Schalke that Keller twice led into the Champions League knockout stages, only to then be replaced by Roberto Di Matteo.
Current club Union Berlin are preparing for their final game of the season this weekend, and whatever the outcome away to Greuther Furth, they will finish the campaign in 4th spot, having missed on a play-off place.
Meanwhile, Wagner himself remains in contention in the betting, as do former Canaries boss Paul Lambert, and Leeds gaffer Garry Monk.
