Sam Allardyce itching to return to the dugout

Sam Allardyce is eyeing up a return to the managerial arena just two months after drawing the curtains on his career in the dugout.

Back in May Allardyce shocked Crystal Palace after announcing his decision to not only leave the club, but football management, in order to spend more time with his family.

Only five months earlier Big Sam returned to management with Palace, after a period in the wilderness following his disgraced England exit, and went on to save the Eagles from relegation, finishing 14th.

But now after just two months away from the game Allardyce is itching to return to the fore, but sadly not the Premier League, where "the tention and pressure is huge".

Instead, the veteran gaffer is keen to have a second stab in an international position.

We all know how the first experience game wonder.

In an interview with TalkSPORT the 62-year-old said he was enticed by the prospect a job in the international arena - watch out Gareth Southgate - but gave no hints as to his preference, simply stating that if the right international job presented itself he wouldn't think twice.
