Stubbs Shown The Door At Rotherham

The axe has fallen on Alan Stubbs at Rotherham United after just thirteen games in the Championship, with the Yorkshire club announcing his sacking on Wednesday afternoon.

The Liverpudlian joined the club in the Summer having managed Hibernian to their first Scottish Cup win in 114 years last May. However, it's been a tough start for Stubbs in the Championship with his side mustering just one win in thirteen starts this term.

A 4-2 defeat at Birmingham on Tuesday night was the final straw for Rotherham's owners who thanked Stubbs and his assistants (who will also leave the club) John Doolan and Andy Holden for their effort and professionalism.

Rotherham are rooted to the bottom of the Championship with six points from thirteen games and the owners could turn to Kenny Jackett who has been installed as the early 1/2 favourite in the next Rotherham manager betting.
