Jose Mourinho Favourite In Next Continental Manager To Leave Betting

Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho is the bookmakers 2/1 favourite to be the Next Continental Manager To Leave His Post. Like all the previous managers at the Bernabeu, Mourinho is under increasing pressure to not only win and reel in the trophies but do so with panache and style. Despite beating Barcelona to win the Copa del Rey last season, Madrid again played second fiddle to their fierce rivals, who won the La Liga and Champions League double in what was yet another successful and dominant season under Pep Guardiola.

Pep Guardiola has now won a plethora of trophies with the Catalan club but, quite surprisingly, his odds of becoming the Next Continental Manager To Leave are fairly short at just 11/4 with Victor Chandler. It is unlikely that Barcelona would sack the popular 40-year-old, but the reason for his low odds could be because he is tempted by a move abroad. Guardiola may be the manager of one of the greatest club teams of all time but he might feel that in order to really establish himself as one of the all time great managers then he will have to prove himself in England and or Italy. He was linked with the Chelsea vacancy early this summer and, like Mourinho, is among the favourites to take over from Man Utd boss Sir Alex Ferguson when the Scot finally draws the curtains on his long and illustrious career.

Marseille manager Didier Deschamps is another manager who has consistently been linked to the Premier League. In 2010 the Frenchman successfully guided Marseille to their first Ligue 1 title in 18 years, in just his first season at the helm. Deschamps has also won back-to-back Coupe de la Ligue's and Trophée des Champions trophies since his arrival in 2009. The 42-year-old has already resisted the urge to return to former club Juventus but if he continues to excel at Marsielle then a move to one of Europe's big league's could prove difficult to ignore, and at the moment he is available at 10/3 in the Next Continental Manager To Leave Betting.

Elsewhere Jurgen Klopp, who won the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund last season, the club's first since the 1995/96 season, is 6/1 to go next, while the Croatia manager Slaven Bilic is priced at 7/1.
