Rochdale have wasted no time in naming a replacement for John Coleman after appointing Keith Hill as their new manager. Hill returns to Spotland for a second spell having previously managed the Lancashire club from 2006 through to 2011. The former Barnsley boss will be in the dugout until the end of the season.
Hill previously led Rochdale into League One before leaving to take charge of Championship side Barnsley during the summer of 2011. He saved his new side from relegation at the end of the 201/12 season but a disappointing start to the current campaign resulted in Hill losing his job just after Christmas.
Hill's first match back in the helm will be away to Cheltenham on Friday. 14th placed Dale go into the game on the back of three consecutive defeats but it is hoped that the return of Hill will inspire them against a side that are currently flying high up in 4th. The hosts are the 5/6 favourites for the victory with Paddy Power, while Hill's Dale can be backed at 3/1 to come away with the three points.
