Nottingham Forest find their man in Philippe Montanierby Andy Dillon / 27 June 2016, 12:29Tweet
After a staggering 15 weeks Nottingham Forest have finally found their man in Philippe Montanier, who has signed a two-year deal to replace Dougie Freedman at the City Ground.
Forest sacked Freedman way back in mid-March, and have since been linked with a multitude of managers, including the likes of Gianfranco Zola, Nigel Pearson, Ryan Giggs, Gus Poyet, Steve Evans, and Victor Sanchez...you get the picture.
However, Forest chairman Fawaz Al Hasawi has decided to place the faith in Montanier, a former Real Sociedad, Rennes, Valenciennes, and Boulogne boss. The 51-year-old, who led Sociedad into the Champions League, had been out-of work-since leaving Rennes back in January, but having been linked with both AEK Athens and Lens, the former goalkeeper has instead opted to return to the dugout with Championship side Forest.
