Jim Magilton has today been suspended as Manager of QPR with immediate effect pending an internal investigation over an incident which took place on Monday night when Rangers lost to Watford at Vicarage Road. The Club have been in terrible form in recent weeks having won one game in 12 which is a run that has seen the team slip down to 12th in the Championship. QPR have released a statement on their website saying that no further comment will be made on the incident for the time being but there are rumours flying around about an alleged bust up between Magilton and midfielder Akos Buzsaky following the defeat.
Rumours are circulating and being reported that the two men allegedly had a heated argument at the end of the match and that Manager Jim Magilton headbutted Buzsacky, at this stage this is only an alleged incident and is yet to be confirmed by either man involved or QPR themselves. Magilton has released a statement pleading his innocence in the matter saying " I categorically deny any allegation of wrongdoing following Monday's fixture," he also added "I understand that the club has initiated an internal investigation, with which I will co-operate fully."
The club will be investigating the incident internally over the next few days to do determine the truth, but at this stage it does not look good for Magilton and QPR may well be in the market for a new Manager sooner rather than later.
QPR have an expensive squad and promotion was expected this season but despite a decent start things have started to go wrong on and off the pitch for the former Ipswich Manager as he clings onto his job by his fingertips.
