I wasn't surprised that Roy Hodgson was given the England job as he was the only viable candidate who ticked all of the boxes if they didn’t go for Harry Redknapp. I know there's been media uproar about the fact they didn't interview Harry but I don' think they need the whole interview process and even if they had, both Hodgson and Redknapp have said they wouldn't have done it.
