Stadium St Andrews
Time at Club:
Birmingham City are managed by Gary Rowett, who joined the club in October 2014. Rowett replaced the sacked Lee Clark, following a record 8-0 hammering at home to Bournemouth, and went on to steady the ship at St Andrews, leading the club to 10th in the table. The Blues disappointingly finished nine points of the play-offs in 2015/16, but will now be expected to push on in 2016/17.
Birmingham have had four different spells in the Premier League, the longest being four seasons between 2007 and 2011, however they've been stuck in the Championship since 2011. The Blues have had their fair share of managers over the years, including the likes of Steve Bruce, Chris Hughton, and Alex McLeish, but under current boss Rowett they have found some consistency in the dugout, which they hope will lead to promotion up to the top-flight.
A mixed set of recent results has seen Birmingham City collect wins versus Brentford, Bristol City, Rotherham United and Blackburn Rovers while suffering adverse results at Newcastle United, Barnsley, Burton Albion and Nottingham Forest. Draws against Huddersfield Town and Aston Villa has seen them show mid-table form at best.
