Time at Club:
Bury are now managed by Lee Clark who replaced the interim duo of Chris Brass and Ryan Kidd on 15th February 2017, after he decided to leave SPL side Kilmarnock.
Bury were formed in 1885 and have spent much of the years since in the bottom two divisions of the football League. The Shakers became the first ever team to score a 1000 goals in each of the four divisions back in May 2005 which highlights their struggle up and down the leagues. Bury have been unable to prove keep themselves in the top two divisions and at the moment League Two football is probably the best they can hope for.
Unfortunately for the club, Bury are perhaps best known in recent years for becoming the first team ever to be thrown out of the FA Cup. The Shakers fielded an ineligible player in the competition in 2006 and were were hurled out of the tournament by the FA which had a big affect on the fortunes of the club.
Numerous drawns but few defeats has seen Bury enjoy a strong run of results. Defeats against Scunthorpe United and Sheffield United are the only black marks on a run that has seen them amass wins against Chesterfield, Swindon Town and Peterborough United while sharing the spoils versus Milton Keynes Dons, Walsall, Port Vale, Bradford City and Fleetwood Town
