Time at Club:
Gillingham appointed Adrian Pennock as Justin Edinburgh's replacement in January 2017. Edinburgh was sent packing after less than two years in charge after an inconsistent run of form, and now it's Pennock, a former Forest Green Rovers and Welling United manager, who is at the helm.
Established in 1893, Gillingham finally gained promotion into the Football League in 1920, but were voted out of the league after the 1937-1938 season, before gaining a path back into the football league when the amount of league clubs were extended from 88 to 92.
Since then Gillingham have been a recognised football league team for most of that time and even gained promotion to Division One through the play-offs in the 1999-2000 season.
The Gills have had several financial problems in the last decade with the ITV Digital breakdown and a brace of relegations not helping their state, but times now look rosier and they can now set their sights on returning to the higher echelons of the Football League under Pennock.
Gillingham have a solitary win against Bristol Rovers and 3 draws against Doncaster Rovers, Northampton Town and Millwall over the last 10 games to thank for earning a mediocre 6 points. Gillingham have surrendered 15 goals in the process while scoring 8 to give them a poor 8 goal difference.
