The dream duo were tasked with transforming the fortunes of the national side who endured a disappointing 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign, which resulted in Giovanni Trapattoni losing his job.

In qualification for Euro 2016 Ireland just missed out on a place in the top-2. instead having to settle for a play-off place, which will be drawn up on 18 October.
