Next Wales Manager Betting Odds
With Wales having a poor qualification campaign for the 2010 World Cup John Toshack has been the subject of some speculation over recent days and some bookies including VC Bet have opened up a market for the Next Wales Manager. Odds on favourite at the moment is Brian Flynn but there are some interesting names in the mix like Ryan Giggs at a short looking 7/1 and Gary Speed who may well be ready to go into management soon.

Bar
Wales are Managed by John Toshack who is in his second spell in charge and are once again trying to qualify for a Major Championships with the World Cup in South Africa fast approaching. Wales have consistently failed to qualify for Major Championships over recent years despite having some great names in their ranks including Ryan Giggs, Ian Rush and Neville Southall among others. They seem to have lacked the strength and depth needed in a long qualifying campaign despite these star names.
Current Performance
Wales have been average at best so far in this qualifying campaign for 2010 and their hopes have qualifying have all but gone already. Toshack has fielded a young side as he looks to build for the future but it hasn’t worked so far despite some good efforts from the youngsters. It appears that Toshack is looking to build a side for the future and the Euro 2012 campaign may well be one to watch as the younger players get some experience under their belts.
Manager History
Wales generally are a nation that allows their Manager time to be successful as this list shows having had only 11 permanent Managers in their history. Mark Hughes was in charge for five years before moving onto a Premier League club which can be the problem if a Manager is successful with Wales. Toshack has had two spells in charge and is looking to build a side for the future and is likely to be given a fair amount of time to achieve this.
