Stadium Elland Road
Time at Club:
Leeds United are managed by Thomas Christiansen who replaced Garry Monk in June 2017 after the latter decided not to continue.
Monk had signed a one-year rolling contract in June 2016. Monk became the seventh head coach under the club's controversial, and trigger-happy, owner Massimo Cellino. Under Monk the Whites just missed out on the play-offs, but he's set to stay at Elland Road for another season.
Leeds are one of the most supported teams in the country and it's no secret that everyone associated with the club is desperate for a return to the Premier League. The Whites have endured a miserable time in recent years, even sinking down to the depths of League One, although they've been back in the Championship since 2010.
Under Monk Leeds will be looking to finally end years of hurt and get back into the top flight, however the rate they chomp through managers makes it difficult for the inconsistent club to mount a serious promotion push.
A mixed set of recent results has seen Leeds United collect wins versus Preston North End and Brighton and Hove Albion while suffering adverse results at Burton Albion, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Brentford and Reading. Draws against Wigan Athletic, Norwich City, Newcastle United and Queens Park Rangers has seen them show mid-table form at best.
