Michael Appleton has been named as the new manager of Portsmouth following the departure of Steve Cotterill to Nottingham Forest. The former West Brom coach was the bookies favourite in the Next Portsmouth Manager Odds beating the likes of Steve Coppell and Sean O’Driscoll to land the job with the Championship side.
