Jim Gannon has been named as the new manager of Blue Square Bet Premier side Stockport County. Gannon was the odds-on favourite in the betting and will now begin his second stint in charge of the team. He took over from Dietmar Hamann who resigned as Stockport County manager back in November after just four months in charge.
Numerous drawns but few defeats has seen Stockport County enjoy a strong run of results. Defeats against Kidderminster Harriers are the only black marks on a run that has seen them amass wins against Tamworth, Curzon Ashton, FC United Of Manchester and Brackley Town while sharing the spoils versus AFC Fylde, Salford City, Chorley, Alfreton Town and Halifax Town
