Philippe Montanier is the former head coach of Championship outfit Nottingham Forest.

Montanier's first job in management came at Boulogne, with whom he led up to Ligue 1 - for the first time in their history - which earned him the top Ligue 2 manager award.

In 2009 Montanier traded Boulogne to Valenciennes, before venturing off to Spain with Real Sociedad in 2011. The Frenchman guided the club through to the Champions League, but left in order to return to France with Rennes.
