A glittering playing career saw Ronald Koeman ply his trade at the highest level, but he's now an experienced manager and currently oversees duties in charge of the Netherlands national team, following his appointment in February 2018.

A three-times Eredivisie winner as a manager in his native Netherlands, Koeman has masterminded league success at both Ajax and PSV Eidnhoven, while he's also tasted victory in the 2007-08 Copa Del Rey in Spain with Valencia Football Club.

The dual Dutch Footballer of the Year arrived in England in 2014, taking charge of a Southampton with whom he led to back-to-back record breaking finishes - 7th, then 6th. However, he controversially opted to move up to the blue half of Merseyside in the summer of 2016.

Ronald Koeman Quotes

Anything is possible in football. Everything is open. We're going to fight until the last minute - just like we did in the first game.

First of all I like aggressive players and physical players.

Johan Cruyff asked me to look after Pep (Guardiola) when I joined the club and we roomed together. He never stopped asking questions about tactics, training and we became good friends. I saw him more than my wife! Even today we talk at least once a week.
