Manager Profile

Left Post:

Warren Feeney is a former Northern Ireland footballer, who has had spells in charge of Linfield and Newport County, but is currently out of work after losing his job at the latter.

At Linfield, Feeney guided the club to a 2nd place finish, while maintaining a good record in derbies against rivals Glentoran. But, in October 2015, Feeny left to become assistant manager of Newport County.

Just three months later Feeney was made manager of the League Two strugglers, with whom he kept in the Football League, but lost his job early on the following season after a poor run of form.

Warren Feeney Quotes

Any manager will tell you there are so many different aspects to the job and I just wanted to bring the knowledge I gained from my career in England and use it to change mindsets and the environment here in the Irish League which is part-time.

No disrespect to David Jeffrey but I brought my own English professionalism to the job.
