Which manager will have a 100% record the longest?by Jack Kitson / 10 September 2013, 12:11Tweet
Going the whole season without dropping a single point in the league is virtually impossible in modern day football. However, four teams in England and Scotland have so far impressively taken maximum points during the 2013/14 campaign, and will have dreams of prolonging their perfect starts for as long as possible. Below we take a look at each of those four teams and their respective odds (courtesy of Bet Victor) of maintaining a 100% record for the longest.
Rangers - Scottish League One - Ally McCoist - 1/3 favourites
It is absolutely no surprise to see Scottish giants Rangers top of the pile in League One. Ally McCoist's men have carried on from where they left off last season - with four wins from four matches - as they continue in their one-way quest back up to the top-flight. Incredibly the Gers have blasted home a whopping 18 goals at average of over four a game, while their solid defence has only let in a solitary strike.
Rangers are the red-hot favourites to win the third-tier and thus promotion up to the Championship, as well as the 1/3 frontrunners, of the four teams in contention on this page, to maintain their perfect start for the longest time. Elsewhere they can be backed at 2/1 to remain unbeaten in the league this season, while they have odds of 20/1 to win every single league game.

Leyton Orient - League One - Russell Slade - 5/1
Leyton Orient have enjoyed a stunning start to the 2013/14 campaign, winning all five of their opening League One games. In the process the O's have smashed in 13 goals and conceded just two down the other end. They will be gunning to maintain their perfect start under boss Russell Slade and have a great opportunity to do so as they have back-to-back home games against Port Vale (13th) and Notts County (rock-bottom).
Slade won the manager of the month award for August following wins against Carlisle, Shrewsbury, Stevenage and Crewe and Colchester, while they have since come away from Gillingham with a convincing 3-1 victory in the JP Trophy. Slade’s men currently can be found at 5/1 to have a 100% record the longest, while they are a tempting bet at 12/1 to win League One and 4/1 to get promoted.

Liverpool - Premier League - Brendan Rodgers - 9/1
Liverpool have won numerous plaudits this season for their new found resilience and mental strength. The Reds are sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League after carving out three hard-fought 1-0 victories from their opening three games. In-form striker Daniel Sturridge has scored the winner in each game, while supporters have got the return of Luis Suarez to look forward to.
Liverpool's next three league fixtures are against Swansea (a), Southampton (h) and Sunderland (a), which are all winnable. Their main aim for the campaign is a top-4 finish (13/8 Stan James), but if they can maintain their bright start then a title challenge could well be on the cards. Meanwhile the Merseyside club are available at 74/1 (888sport) to repeat the feat of the Arsenal “Invincibles” of the 2003/04 season and go the whole season unbeaten in the league.

Hamilton - Scottish Championship - Alex Neil - 9/1
Hamilton have catapulted out the blocks with four straight wins in the Scottish Championship. Alex Neil's men are now won six consecutive games in all competitions making them a decent bet at 9/1 to prolong their 100% record in the second-tier. Up next is a tricky fixture away to Dundee, before a match at home to second-from-bottom Cowdenbeath.
