AC Milan sack Sinisa Mihajlovicby Jack Kitson / 12 April 2016, 10:56Tweet
AC Milan have sacked head coach Sinisa Mihajlovic and placed Cristian Brocchi in charge until the end of the season. Sunday's 2-1 defeat at home to Serie A leaders Juventus proved to be the final straw for president Silvio Berlusconi, who has sent Mihajlovic packing with the club in 6th spot with six games remaining.
Since hoisting the Supercoppa Italiana back in 2011 the Rossoneri have failed to win any silverware, while the last couple of seasons have been particularly poor, finishing 8th, then 10th, while the Italian outfit are now unlikely to qualify for Europe - seven points adrift - for a third season on the spin.p>

Youth coach Brocchi now becomes Milan's fifth head coach in under three years. The 40-year-old played for the likes of Inter Milan, Lazio and Fiorentina during his career, before going on to coach the Primavera youth team in 2014.
