Arsene Wenger's Odds Slashed Following Cup Exit

Arsene Wenger has been hit by a fresh wave of criticism following Arsenal's humiliating League Cup exit to League Two outfit Bradford. The pressure has piled on the Gunners boss, whose odds have been slashed by Stan James from 25/1 down to just 5/1, as he becomes one of the favourites for the chop in the Premier League Sack Race.
The shock cup exit once again raises questions about whether Arsenal will win another trophy under Wenger. 2005 was the year they last got their hands on silverware, which is a staggering length of time for a club of Arsenal's stature. Since late October they have been plagued by inconsistency having suffered disappointing defeats to the likes of Norwich, Schalke, Swansea and now Bradford.
The North London club are already 15 points adrift of top-of-the-table Man Utd in the Premier League, meaning a league title is out of the question. They recently qualified through to the second round of the Champions League but are likely to face a tough draw, having finished second behind Schalke. This leaves the FA Cup as the most likely source of silverware, however, the Gunners have been handed a tricky tie away to Swansea in the third round.
Pep Guardiola remains the 5/1 favourite with Sky Bet in the Next Arsenal Manager Betting Market. The former Barcelona boss is expected to return to the dugout in the summer following the conclusion of a year's sabbatical. The Spaniard is widely expected to test his credentials in England and the Emirates could be his chosen destination. Meanwhile other names that feature in the betting include Paul Lambert, Jose Mourinho and David Moyes.
