Sam Allardyce Leaves Blackburn Rovers With Immediate Effect

Sam Allardyce has left Blackburn Rovers with immediate effect this evening in a shock move, the owners Venky's Group have decided to axe Allardyce and Assistant Neil McDonald following the teams defeat to Bolton on Sunday saying it is "part of our wider plans and ambitions for the club." It is massive shock with Rovers in good form of late and sitting comfortably in mid table despite having a paper thin squad, it was widely considered that Allardyce was doing an excellent job at Ewood Park and it seems a harsh decision from the outside. The news follows on from Chrus Hughton's bizarre sacking at Newcastle last week as Premier League Managers continue to fall by the wayside this season.
Blackburn have been in decent form of late with the team being hard to beat over the past few months when most tipped them to be in a relegation battle for most of the season, in truth the aim for Rovers has to be to stay in the Premier League and that was something that Allardyce looked like achieving once again. The new owners took charge of the club recently and as happens so often in these situations the Manager is the first one to be shipped out, the Indian owners clearly want to get their own man in and whoever that is will clearly be expected to take the team into the top half of the Premier League.
Allardyce is a Manager that believes he should be in charge of all footballing matters including transfers and there one or two suggestions that the owners were looking to take some of those responsibilities away from the former Bolton Manager. Steve Kean, who is the first team coach, will take charge of club affairs in the interim while a new Manager is found as soon as possible and at this stage we are still waiting to hear about potential replacements for Allardyce. The Owners will be under pressure to get the right man now they have got rid of Allardyce despite the team being in a decent position, the owners will no doubt be looking for a bigger name and the Next Blackburn Manager Betting over the next few days is sure to be competitive.
