Pep Guardiola Continues To Be Linked With The Premier League

The future of Pep Guardiola has been the focus of immense speculation and debate over the last few weeks, with rumours linking the Spaniard to a number of top Premier League clubs. The former Barcelona boss is due to make his eagerly anticipated comeback to the management arena this summer but the destination of his return remains an enigma.
English sides Chelsea, Man City, Man Utd and Arsenal have all been touted as possible options for Guardiola, who is currently half-way through a year’s sabbatical in New York. Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is a huge admirer of the Spaniard and will do everything in his power to lure him to West London in the summer once interim boss Rafa Benitez departs. Chelsea are currently the 2/1 favourites with Paddy Power to capture the signature of Guardiola but whether he would be happy to work under such a trigger-happy owner remains to be seen.
Man City are next in the running with odds of 5/2. Roberto Mancini is currently under-fire having failed to lead his side through to the second round of the Champions League. If the Italian fails to retain the league title or at least win a domestic cup then his days could be numbered.
Meanwhile recent reports reveal that Man Utd boss Sir Alex Ferguson is keen for Guardiola to replace him when he finally draws the curtains on his stunning career at Old Trafford. United have been installed as the third favourites at 7/2 to capture Guardiola but the Spaniard may have to wait a couple of years to get the opportunity to succeed the United legend.
One team to look out for is the 9/2 priced Arsenal. The future of Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been the subject of intense speculation this week due to the North London side’s shock League Cup exit to Bradford. Arsenal haven't won a trophy since 2005 and if they once again fail to win any form of silverware come the end of the season then Wenger could finally be on his way out of the Emirates.
