Ian Holloway linked with Blackpool return

The season just passed was one that was drenched in doom and gloom for Blackpool supporters, who watched in despair as their sorry side slumped down to League One, after registering a meagre 25 points from 46 matches.
Shortly after the curtains on a forgettable campaign, boss Lee Clark, who was only appointed in October, resigned from his post, leaving the troubled Seasiders both managerless and directionless, with a hugely unpopular chairman, Karl Oyston, still pulling the strings.
However, a slither of optimism can be found in rumours linking the club's popular former manager, Ian Holloway, with the new vacancy. The charistmatic 52-year-old, who memorably led the Tangerines up to the Premier League in 2010, has emerged as the early 5/2 (Bet Victor) frontrunner to make a sensational return to Bloomfield Road.
Earlier this week Holloway revealed that he plans to hold talks with Oyston, as he assesses his options ahead of a potential comeback to the chaotic world that is the managerial arena. The former Crystal Palace has been out of work since suffering the sack at Millwall back in March, a club who went on to suffer the same fate as Blackpool.
While a return to Bloomfield Road would no doubt be a popular decision with many fans, the club's supporters' group The Tangerine Knights has urged Holloway to reconsider due to Blackpool's current situation, and instead wait until the Oyston family leave.
Meanwhile, behind Holloway in the betting are the trip of James Beattie, Paul Ince and Phil Brown, who can each be backed at a price of 6/1. Furthermore, Brian McDermott is available at 10/1, alongside Dennis Wise and Stuart Pearce.
