Bristol City Sack Steve Cotterill

Championship strugglers Bristol City have parted ways with manager Steve Cotterill, he leaves Ashton Gate with the club sitting in 22nd position, just two points away from safety. They are set to travel to league leaders Middlesbrough on Saturday.
The side are without a win from their last seven matches and it now falls into the hands of assistant manager John Pemberton along with Wade Elliot (the current U21 boss) to take interim charge of the club.
Cotterill caught the headlines earlier this week, when following their 2-1 defeat to Preston North End he was caught on film verbally retaliating to disgruntled fans.

It was only last season that Cotterill brought The Robins to the Championship on 99 points, highlighting the brutal world of Championship football.
The hunt for the next Bristol City manager is now on!
