Monday night manager movesby Mick Bates / 14 November 2016, 19:12Tweet
With the dark, cold nights drawing in, it is time for the managerial merry-go-round to step up a gear, if you had thought that the sack race goes quiet during the international break, think again!
In the space of just over an hour on Monday evening, we have seen two managerial departures, the first came when Mansfield Town gaffer Adam Murray, along with his backroom staff of Karl Hawley and Richard Cooper resigned from the struggling League Two side.
With The Stags currently sitting in 18th place in the table and have only won one game from their last 11 league outings. The latest odds on who could be replacing Murray currently has Steve Evans out in front.
The next change came at Charlton Athletic where Russell Slade was sacked from the League One side after less than six months in the job. Making Slade the SIXTH manager to leave Charlton since January 2014 (which of course includes two spells for Jose Riga). Slade's last game in charge was the 3-0 defeat at Swindon, which marked his 16th game in charge.
Charlton currently occupy the 15th slot in League One with 20 points, but they have only managed to register four wins in the League so far this season.
A familiar name is in the mix with former manager Chris Powell currently at the forefront of the next Charlton Athletic manager betting.
