Newport County Appoint Warren Feeney

Newport County have appointed Warren Feeney as their new manager. The League Two club were crushed at losing boss John Sheridan - who had only joined the club in October - to Oldham Athletic earlier in the week, but they hope that Feeney can step up to the plate as they bid to avoid the dreaded drop out of the Football League.
Feeney only joined the Welsh club in October, leaving his position in charge of Northern Ireland club Linfield. The 34-year-old was working as an assistant to Sheridan at Rodney Parade, before being named as caretaker boss following Sheridan's departure on Wednesday.
The Ulsterman's first match at the helm is a crunch clash away to rock-bottom York on Saturday. The Exiles will be targeting a winning start under their new boss, and can be backed at 6/4 (Sky Bet) to do just that against a struggling side that have lost a whopping 10 of their last 12 matches in all competitions.
