Antonio Conte has broken his silence following his departure from Chelsea last Friday.

The former Blues boss, who was then replaced by Maurizio Sarri over the weekend, has released a statement via the League Managers Association, during which he thanked the fans for their support during his two-year tenure:

“I have enjoyed my time in England and London so much and I want to thank the Chelsea fans who have been amazing to me and my Family.

“It was fantastic for me to be able to share my emotions, passion and enthusiasm throughout two unforgettable seasons with these amazing Chelsea supporters, who will always stay in my heart.

“I hope Chelsea will continue to be successful and I wish everyone well for next season.

“I have made many memories during my time with Chelsea, which I will take with me into my next challenge.”

Conte also expressed his thanks to the players and staff at the club - scroll below for full statement in tweet.

The Italian won the Premier League title and FA Cup during his time in charge, but has now made way for fellow countryman Sarri who sealed his switch from Napoli on Saturday.

“In the Premier League, there are all the most important Coaches in Europe, maybe in the world, so it’ll be very exciting for me to play against Guardiola, Pochettino, Mourinho, Klopp and all the others,” Sarri told Football Italia, while he also admitted that he would give up all his possessions to be successful with his new club.
