Kenny Jackett favourite for Wolves job

Former Millwall gaffer Kenny Jackett is the bookmakers favourite for the Wolves Job, with Sky Bet pricing the 51-year-old at 11/8 to succeed Dean Saunders. The Midlands club have been searching for a new manager since sacking Saunders at the end of the season following their relegation down to the Championship. Jackett is believed to be eager to throw himself into a new challenge following six years at the Den, but will be wary of the trigger-happy nature of Wolves who have blasted their way through five managers in 15 months.
Former England manager Steve McClaren (5/1) has also been linked to the vacancy. The 52-year-old is bidding for a return to the game having been out of work since February after leaving Dutch side FC Twente for a second time. His reputation in England remains in tatters following his infamous spell in charge of England. He returned to these shores in the summer of 2011 but endured a woeful stint at Nottingham Forest, picking up just eight points from 10 games at the helm.
Former Bolton boss Owen Coyle is also in the mix at 8/1 in the betting. Similarly to both Jackett and McClaren he finds himself out of work but is very interested in making a return to the game before the new season gets underway. Meanwhile former favourite Darren Ferguson has been ruled out of the running, with the Peterborough boss is expected to stay at his current club who were also relegated from the Championship.
