Karl Robinson in talks with Sheffield United

MK Dons boss Karl Robinson is locked in talks with Sheffield United about becoming their new manager. The Blades have been linked with a number of gaffers since sacking David Weir last week, including the likes of Nigel Clough and Sven Goran Eriksson, but they may now have now found their man in Robinson.
Sky Bet have reacted by installing Robinson as the odds-on 1/2 favourite, with both former frontrunner Clough and Sven back at 5/2, while Richie Barker can now be found at 8/1 in the Next Sheff Utd Manager Market. Robinson has been in charge of the Dons since May 2010. He was just 30 when he made the step into the management arena at the League One club and is widely regarded as one of the most talented young managers in the Football League.
A deal could be in place in time for the club’s clash at home to Port Vale on Saturday. United are currently rooted to the bottom of the League One table and without a win since the opening day of the campaign.
